Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
At Kenmont Primary School we will ensure that all children are valued equally, regardless of their abilities and/or social, emotional or behavioural problems. The school recognises that all children are entitled to have access to a broad and balanced curriculum which is differentiated to meet their individual needs.
Kenmont Primary School is a mainstream setting (not a special school).

Accessibility
The Equality Act 2010 aims to protect disabled people and prevent disability discrimination. It provides legal rights for disabled people in all areas of life including education.
Kenmont Primary School comprises a main three storey building with one separate buildings (currently not in use) which is single storey. The nature of the site means there are many internal steps. Whilst the Equality Act does not require schools to change their premises; it does require an action plan to be made for improving access to the premises.
Our Accessibility action plan can be viewed on our policies page.
